•Testing Protocol: Inquire about their offline quality control. How often do they perform the standard triple-spot test? Do they test the front, middle, and tail of every coil?
•Consistency is Key: A good supplier can speak to their capability to hold tight tolerances. Inconsistency-where one part of the coil is G90 and another is G60-will wreak havoc in your press shop, causing different frictional properties and leading to part rejects.

•Spangle Size:Galvanized steel can have a visible spangle pattern (the crystalline pattern). You need to specify your requirement: regular spangle, minimized spangle (the most common for painting), or spangle-free. Suppliers use different cooling methods to achieve this.
•Surface Treatment:Is the steel passivated? Most galvanized steel is treated with a chromate or, increasingly, more environmentally friendly chromium-free passivation to prevent white rust (wet storage stain) during transport and storage. Confirm which treatment is used.
