Reflectivity of thermal radiation is another characteristic of aluminized steel plate in controlling, blocking and restraining thermal radiation. In a short time, its performance is comparable to that of pure aluminum and better than that of galvanized steel plate. According to the test, after four years of outdoor use in urban suburbs, the thermal radiation reflection capacity of galvanized steel plate has dropped to only 5%, which is similar to the blackbody absorbing all radiant heat, while the reflection capacity of aluminum plated steel plate is still 55%.
The aluminized steel plate is also very good at high temperature oxidation resistance. When the surface temperature reaches about 510 ℃, the aluminum coating can prevent the steel plate from being oxidized, and does not discolor itself. Therefore, it is especially suitable for heat resistant facilities that are corroded by corrosive condensate or other combustion by-products. At 510~677 ℃, although the aluminum iron silicon alloy turns black, the aluminum coating can still protect the steel plate well. Due to the high strength of steel plate, the holding time of aluminized steel plate is much longer than that of aluminum in case of fire, so it can resist, limit and restrain the danger of flame spread.
