Aluminized steel, also known as Al-Si-coated steel, is a hot-dip aluminum-coated steel that combines the strength of cold-rolled steel with the superior heat and corrosion resistance of an aluminum-silicon alloy coating.
Through the hot-dip aluminizing process, molten aluminum mixed with approximately 10% silicon forms a metallurgical bond with the steel substrate, producing a surface that withstands high temperatures up to 600°C without oxidation or scaling.
