Cast steel shot and cast steel grit are industrial metal abrasives used in wheel-blast and air-blast surface preparation. Their performance is defined not only by size but also by particle morphology, hardness distribution, operating mix, and separator efficiency.

Steel Structure Pretreatment
Remove mill scale and corrosion from H-beams, plates and bridge components before coating. For roller-conveyor lines, a common starting target is Sa 2.5 with a profile matched to the coating system.

LPG Cylinder Production & Refurbishment
Clean exterior surfaces and prepare internal surfaces before inspection or coating. Exterior cleaning and interior descaling are assessed separately because access, contamination and required finish differ.

Automotive Cleaning & Specified Peening
Prepare chassis components for e-coating and clean production parts. For springs, gears or other fatigue-critical peening operations, confirm the specified media and process standard before quoting.

Heavy Machinery & Castings
Remove casting sand, heavy scale and corrosion from excavator buckets, frames and welded structures. A controlled shot-and-grit mix can balance cutting performance with operating stability.

Weld Cleaning & Anti-corrosion Coating
Remove weld slag and create an anchor profile for paint or epoxy adhesion. The coating supplier's specified profile and cleanliness requirement should determine the final abrasive selection.

Operating cost
Media with the same nominal SAE size can perform differently because of hardness distribution, density, internal defects, heat treatment and fines generation. A lower purchase price may be offset by higher top-up, separator load, dust and downtime.

Q: How do you recommend the correct size and grade?
A: We review the workpiece material and dimensions, current surface condition, machine type, current abrasive, required cleanliness or roughness, production rate and any customer process specification. The final recommendation should be validated on the line.
Q: Can I receive a sample and inspection report?
A: A 1–5 kg evaluation sample may be arranged for qualified projects. The applicable batch COA, TDS, or SDS is supplied according to the confirmed product.
Q: What should be included in an RFQ?
A: Please provide the workpiece, blast machine, current media, required surface result, monthly demand, requested packing, and destination port. This lets us recommend a realistic starting grade and export quotation.
