Why Wait for Nature?
Corten steel is famous for its changing appearance, but the natural rusting process can take 6 to 12 months. During this "stabilization period," the steel looks uneven, and worse, the rust runoff can permanently stain expensive concrete, stone, and glass.
Promisteel solves this problem with our industrial Pre-Rusted (Oxidized) Surface Treatment. We simulate and accelerate the natural weathering process in our factory. In just 3-5 days, we achieve the rich, reddish-brown patina that would normally take nature years to create. You receive project-ready panels that are beautiful from Day 1.
The Promisteel Process (How We Do It)
Our treatment is not a simple paint job. It is a controlled chemical reaction that activates the steel's surface to form a genuine, durable oxide layer.
Surface Prep (Sandblasting): We remove mill scale and oil to ensure the rust forms evenly across the entire plate.
Accelerator Application: A proprietary oxidizing solution is applied to trigger rapid rust formation without damaging the steel's structural integrity.
Humidity Control: Plates are placed in a controlled humidity chamber to promote color depth and uniformity.
Color Stabilization: Once the desired shade (yellow, red, or dark brown) is reached, we wash and neutralize the surface.
Surface Fixation (The "Sealer"): Optional but Recommended. We apply a breathable fixation coating that "locks" the rust. This prevents rust from rubbing off on hands (anti-fingerprint) and significantly reduces rainwater runoff.

Key Benefits for Your Project
Instant Aesthetics
No awkward "patchy" phase. Your building or landscape looks finished immediately upon installation.
Protect Your Site
Our Rust Fixation treatment solves the headache of rust runoff. It is ideal for installations above concrete patios, wooden decks, or light-colored stone.
Indoor Friendly
Want the Corten look for an office interior or restaurant? Our sealed surface is smooth to the touch and won't leave rust dust on clothes or customers.
Cost Efficiency
Factory treatment is faster and cheaper than hiring workers to spray chemicals on-site (which often leads to uneven results).
Available Finishes & Colors
We can control the oxidation stage to offer different aesthetics:
- Stage 1: Yellow / Light Orange (Early Rust)
- Stage 2: Classic Reddish-Brown (Standard Corten Look)
- Stage 3: Dark Brown/Purple (Mature Rust)
