Promisteel's proprietary color-coated brand, is highly esteemed for its stable quality and stringent quality control measures. Recently, Promisteel's sales representative Alex Wang visited the plant to personally inspect a batch of AZ coated color coils ordered by a Malaysian client through three tests. This batch, which includes five colors such as RAL 3005, features a matt surface, is coated with PE paint, and contains 55% aluminum. This inspection not only underscored Promisteel's rigorous quality control but also highlighted the company's commitment to addressing customer needs.
Stringent Production Process Control
During the inspection, Alex has takend a tour of the factory for clients by live online, detailing each stage from raw material procurement to production line procedures, including the arrival, cleaning, coating, drying, and final product inspection of the steel coils.
Alex emphasized, 'In the production of our AZ coated color coils, each step is governed by strict quality control standards. Having promised our clients a 50g/m2 zinc coating weight and a coating thickness of 23 microns, we ensure that every coil meets or exceeds customer expectations.' He also highlighted the superiority of Tian-Color's PE paint, which, due to rigorous quality control, not only imparts vibrant colors to the product but also offers enhanced weather resistance and corrosion protection compared to standard PE paints, ensuring cost-effectiveness while guaranteeing long-term product performance.
Professional Testing to Validate Product Quality
Following the thorough inspection of the production process, Alex, together with the technical staff at the color coating plant, conducted bend tests, impact tests, and solvent wipe tests, which are crucial for validating the quality of the PPGL.
During the bend test, Alex observed the performance of the coils under bending conditions to ensure that the surface coating did not crack or peel off. 'The toughness and adhesion of our product are exceptional, enabling it to withstand various complex processing requirements.' Alex noted.
Subsequently, the impact test further demonstrated the product's outstanding performance. Under high-pressure impact, the coating on the coils remained intact, showcasing excellent impact resistance and surface hardness. 'This confirms that our aluzinc coated color coils are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly practical.' Alex remarked with satisfaction.
The final test, the solvent wipe test, involved repeatedly wiping the aluzinc coated surface with an organic solvent to assess the coating's adhesion and solvent resistance. After numerous wipes, the color-coated surface showed no signs of peeling, blistering, or fading, and remained as pristine as new. The results confirmed the firm adhesion between the coating and substrate, uniform coating thickness, complete curing, and excellent solvent resistance.
The client expressed high satisfaction with the results of the three tests.
