HRC Import Prices in The Middle East Are Mixed

On August 8, the evaluation price of UAE hot coil imports  was US$570-610/ton (CFR), a week-on-week decrease of US$30-40/ton.

According to the UAE market news, the mainstream export quotation of Chinese HRC to the UAE at the beginning of this week was 570-590 US dollars / ton (CFR), which was 30-40 US dollars / ton lower than last week; the mainstream export price of Japanese HRC to the UAE at the beginning of the week was 610 USD/ton (CFR), which is also lowered by 30-40 USD/ton compared with last week’s quotation. It is not heard that there is a large number of imported hot coil orders in the UAE market this week.

On August 8, the estimated import price of Saudi hot coil (1.2mm) was 635-650 US dollars/ton (CFR), showing a slight upward trend compared with 630-650 US dollars/ton (CFR) last week. At the beginning of the week, China’s 1.2mm HRC to Saudi Arabia’s mainstream export price was US$650/ton (CFR), and some buyers assessed a more feasible actual transaction price of US$635/ton (CFR); at the beginning of the week, 1.2mm HRC in Taiwan, China to Saudi Arabia’s mainstream The export quotation is 650-655 US dollars / ton (CFR), unchanged from last week's quotation.

In addition, on August 8, the evaluation price of imported cold coils in the UAE was 660-710 US dollars/ton (CFR), a week-on-week decrease of 10-20 US dollars/ton. At the beginning of the week, the mainstream export quotations of cold rolls from China and India to Saudi Arabia were 660-670 US dollars/ton (CFR) and 710-720 US dollars/ton (CFR), respectively, which were 10-20 US dollars/ton and 10 US dollars/ton lower than last week. .

On August 8, the evaluation price of imported hot-dip galvanized coils in the UAE was 760-820 US dollars/ton (CFR), a week-on-week decrease of 10-20 US dollars/ton. At the beginning of the week, the mainstream export price of Chinese hot-dip galvanized coils to the UAE was 760-780 US dollars / ton (CFR), which was 20 US dollars / ton lower than last week’s quotation; Export quotation.
