From January to May 2023, South Korea is the largest exporter of Japanese steel products, with an export volume of 2.57 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. The remaining major export destinations are mainland China (1.18 million tons), a year-on-year decrease of 35.1%; Taiwan, China (705,356 tons), a year-on-year decrease of 11.4%; Thailand (2.02 million tons), a year-on-year decrease of 3.6%; the United States (508,827 tons), a year-on-year increase of 3.9%.
