Prior To Taiwan, China's Screw Industry Responds To CBAM

The EU opted to fully impose carbon adjustment tariffs in 2026 after conducting a trial run of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) in October of this year.

Chinese screw industries have advanced more quickly than Taiwanese industries in implementing energy-saving and carbon-reduction initiatives.

Taiwan began debating the creation of a carbon rights exchange this year, although China has established its national carbon online market in July 2021. As of the end of February this year, 232 million tons of carbon emissions were traded.

The CBAM fundamental frames and systems have already been finished by the Chinese screw industries, so compliance with the necessary regulations will be swift. Taiwanese screws will incur greater expenses for carbon offsets if their carbon emissions are higher than those of Chinese screws.
