Turkey's coated steel exports down year-on-year in January
The exports of coated steel materials from Turkey totaled over 60,200 tons in January of this year, down 12.3% from the previous month and 54% from the same month a year prior, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Among them, the exports of hot-dip galvanized steel coil made up about 42,000 tons, an increase of 15.7% from month to month and a loss of 52.6% from year to year. With imports of 13,200 tons, Romania was the primary destination.
Pre-painted galvanized flat steel shipping fell by 16% annually and 44.4% monthly throughout the time period, totaling about 12,000 tons. At 1,800 tons, Egypt was the top export recipient.
