Why use Aluminium to make car bodies and why we don’t see more of it?

Why don't we use Aluminium to make car bodies and not see more of it?

Driving a light and fast car has become the idea of many consumers. The most important reason aluminum is used more and more to replace deals is its low total mass while meeting the strength requirement of the automobile design. Steel is still used but in some parts of the vehicle, there are places (depending on the design of the vehicle) where you can use aluminum to achieve meaningful lightweight while still satisfying safety standards.

And why lightweight?

Because the vehicle's fuel economy improves, it is important as companies try to meet economy standards.

After continuous exploration by car manufacturing experts, we finally found a high-quality material for making light and light cars-aluminum.

Just because it weighs much less and can't rust.

But no Car Manufacturer would make a car that can't rust, it's against the Idea of planned obsolescence. Your Car like everything else is designed to brake after a few Years.

When you use different Metals together you can dial one when 1 of them has corroded away, like they put on Ships to rust instead of the Ships Body.

Car Manufacturers do it the opposite Way.

Or open a common Fan or Mixer or anything which you bought for less than 50$ which has to rotate or spin. The Geartrain is made from Plastic but the driving Shaft is steel… in their Lab, they have calculated exactly when the Steel has ground away the Plastic and you have to buy a new Fan or whatever it was.

Heavier vehicle is not a trait you'd want on your car :

Consume more fuel

Will probably be slower than other cars made of aluminium

It'll be a burden to the suspension

Therefore, you'd want to see more aluminum on the car, cause aluminum has a much better strength-to-weight ratio than stainless steel. But don't get it wrong steel is much stronger than Aluminium.
