India Will Hold An Auction For Critical Mineral Blocks.

The Secretary of India's Mines Ministry, Vivek Bharadwaj, revealed a few days ago that India planned to begin the auction process of roughly 100 critical mineral blocks in the next four months to boost the domestic green energy transformation strategy. Nickel, lithium, cobalt, platinum, rare earth, and other minerals are included in these mineral blocks.

The legal structure and blocks, according to Vivek Bharadwaj, have been finalized, and the tender is slated to close in December, with the auction starting three months later.

Last month, India changed its mining regulations to allow private miners to look for critical minerals such as lithium, which might increase exploration of those minerals in the country.

Furthermore, in order to attract worldwide miners to participate in the auction, the Indian government plans to subsidize half of the exploration costs.
