According to documents from the Stock Exchange of Thailand, the company sold 253,000 tons from October to December, a year-on-year decrease of 12%. "A combination of sluggish domestic demand, relatively high scrap input prices, sluggish international demand, and low-priced wire rod exports from China to Southeast Asia have adversely affected deliveries," Tata Steel Thailand explained.

According to Metal Expert, in the first nine months of the current fiscal year starting in April 2023, due to unfavorable domestic demand, low-priced wire rods imported from Thailand and export sales of steel products fell, the manufacturer's sales decreased by 11% year-on-year. dropped to 800,000 tons.
According to the latest data from the Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand (ISIT), from January to November 2023, Thailand's wire rod imports increased by 12.5% year-on-year to 1.17 million tons, while the country's wire rod production fell by 33.4% to 638,300 tons.
