US Determines South Korea's Corrosion-resistant Steel To Be Preliminary CVD

Certain South Korean manufacturers and exporters of corrosion-resistant steel goods received countervailing subsidies from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021, according to preliminary findings by the US Department of Commerce (USDOC).

The subsidy rate of KG Dongbu Steel is 6.71%, that of Hyundai Steel is 0.59%, and the subsidy rates for POSCO, POSCO Coated and Color Steel, and SeAH Coated Metal are each 1.43%.

Additionally, because SeAH Steel, POSCO International, POSCO Steeleon, and Hyundai Steel didn't export the reviewed products to the US throughout the evaluation period, the USDOC wanted to revoke the administrative reviews of these four businesses.

The final results of this review were scheduled to be issued within 120 days of the publication of the preliminary results.
